Dr. Marlee has advanced training in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care. Please refer to her bio for all of the specific techniques and certifications she uses for this specialized field.  

She regularly supports expectant mothers experiencing pelvic discomfort, low back and hip pain,
round ligament tension, and postural changes throughout pregnancy. Her goal is to help women
move through pregnancy with greater comfort and confidence while preparing their body for
birth.

For newborns and infants, Dr. Marlee works with families navigating feeding challenges, tension
patterns, preference to turn one direction, unsettled behaviour, and early developmental
milestones. Techniques for babies are extremely gentle and tailored to their stage of
development, using light, specific pressure appropriate for their growing bodies.

She also treats beyond pregnancy and can help patients in all phases of life with any issues regarding the spine and soft tissue.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the use of thin, disposable, pre-sterilized stainless steel needles into one of the 365 acupuncture points that runs along 12 main acupuncture meridians.  Acupuncture is a safe, natural, drug free treatment that produces exceptional results for a number of different condions. Acupuncture can be useful in helping to treat neurological and musculoskeletal disorders, reproductive and gynecological conditions, mental emotional problems, gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory disorders, circulatory disorder, and many more. 


Electro Acupuncture

Electroacpuncture is a form of acupuncture in which a small amount of electric current is ran between the acupuncture needles via tiny clips.  This can increase the efficacy of the treatment.  The electroacupuncture creates a small vibration similar to what it would feel like if the practioner was stimulating the needles by hand and can be used as a technique to more quickly improve both acute and chronic conditions.


Class IV Laser Therapy

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine has been used for thousand of years to naturally treat conditions systemically through the entire body.   I only use herbal medicines that are GMP certified (Good Manufactuers Process), which means there are no heavy metals, fillers or aditives in it.   The herbal medicine I prescribe has NPN number from the Canadian Government certifying that the medicine is a safe product to use.    Herbal Medicine can be used to treat everything from viral infections and the common cold to long term and chronic conditions.  


Cupping

Cupping is a treatment that uses glass cups with a heat source or silicone cups.  The cups both detoxify the body and bring circulation to stubborn muscle problems to promote healing.  The act of cupping widens the blood vessels, and promotes circulation.   Cupping can also be used to move and stretch the fascial tissues and can be great to relieve pain in chronic IT bands in runners and tight muscles that are being stubborn or overworked.  It can be useful for helping treat stubborn cellutlite.   Cupping is something I like to use to promote fertility treatments.  Cupping helps to promote circulation to the uterus or in people with late menstrual cycles.  


Ear Seeds

Ear seeds or press needles can be used to directly have a connection between your brain and nervous system.  It can help to reinforce treatments in breaking strong patterns.  Ear needles can help assist in creating better sleep, breaking addicitons ie. quitting smoking or drinking, it can help with headache prevention and overall stress reduction.
